Recurring Monthly Donations
Seattle Art Song Society is a burgeoning nonprofit organization in the Puget Sound Region. We are a registered 501(c)(3), and incorporated with the State of Washington as a nonprofit organization (click here to verify our status), and we need your help to continue our growth.
Unlike our for-profit cousins, we cannot sustain our operations through sales alone. As a matter of fact, we've made our tickets FREE because ticket prices should never be used as an excuse from exclusion in the arts. For us to be able to produce top quality programming we rely on community support. With your help, we can expand our artistic and educational programs. Come on and show us your SASS!
We have the ability to set-up a recurring monthly donation. We know that donating a large sum of money at one time can be a bit of a financial burden, so we will help you be breaking up the payments over a year. A donation of $10 a month turns into $120 for SASS!
If you'd like to set-up a recurring monthly donation, please click the button below to complete the registration form or message us at email@example.com with any questions.
All of our staff at SASS work on a volunteer basis, so we are able to keep our administrative operational costs very low (and our General & Artistic Director actually pays for most of those costs).
Our largest expense is artistic fees and fees associated with commissioning new works from composers. SASS would like to create sponsorship opportunities that can be dedicated to a single artist, or gifts large enough to sponsor an entire event.
Artist sponsorship starts as low as $250 and can be from a single donor, a group of donors, or from other businesses and organizations.
If you're interested in helping sponsor an artist, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
This season, Seattle Art Song Society has seen its largest audiences to date. We have welcomed new audience members to each event and have heard from people singing the praises of the performances that have never attended an art song recital before all the way to people that have been recital performers and attendees for decades. We are proud of the work the artists have done, and from what we can tell you are too!
Seattle deserves a company like SASS that provides art song recitals at the highest possible artistic level. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’ve been able to continue creating these concerts and presenting them to the public. This season we dedicated each performance to an aspect of social justice that we felt resonated within our community. We firmly believe that our tickets should be FREE because ticket prices should never be used as an excuse from exclusion in the arts.
That is only possible if we are able to raise funds to meet our costs. We try to pay each artist a minimum of $250 for their participation in these concerts. I’m sure many of you will agree that this figure is actually very low, but that shows you the level of dedication each artist standing before you expresses and the level of support SASS has from the artistic community in support of our mission. To close the season we need to raise $3,000.
Many people donate their time and talent to us including all of our administrative staff. Your money doesn’t go to pay for rent on an expensive office, or to help pay the electric bill; your dollars go directly to the artists.
We are a registered 501(c)(3), and incorporated with the State of Washington as a nonprofit organization (click here to verify our status), and we need your help to continue our growth.
We want to be able to do more than smile and say thank you at the door when people donate at the shows. We want to be able to thank you publicly and to give you gifts for your generosity. To do so, we’ve created our “Citizen of SASS” campaign to raise the remaining funds needed for our “One Voice” season. Thanks to many of you we were able to fund Queer Voices, Voices of War & Peace, and Black Voices. Now we need your help to fund Womxn’s Voices and our final concert Voices of Mental Health (which is on May 17th).
Thank you for your support!
